Watch Carly Rae Jepsen’s Commercial For Japanese Shampoo Moist Diane
When “I Really Like You” dropped, it seemed like a worthy follow-up to “Call Me Maybe,” but once E•MO•TION emerged it became clear that Carly Rae Jepsen had far superior throwback pop theatrics in store. In any case, “I Really Like You” is still a jam, and it works extremely well as the soundtrack for a Japanese shampoo commercial.
Yes, Jepsen has joined the ranks of North American celebrities who star in foreign TV ads, lending her song and herself to a new promo for shampoo company Moist Diane. Setting aside the brand name, which feels a little, um, Lost In Translation, the storyline is cute enough. Jepsen grabs a morose bus passenger at the airport and leads her racing through the airport toward a romantic moment of truth, all while some kind of flash mob breaks out. Watch below.
