Tacocat – “I Live For The Sun” (The Sunrays Cover)
The joyously jittery Seattle punks Tacocat released their Lost Time album earlier this year, and they’ve also been cranking out covers lately. We’ve posted their versions of Katy Perry’s “Roar” and the Powerpuff Girls theme song. And now they’ve taken on “I Live For The Sun,” a Beach Boys soundalike that was a minor hit for the California band the Sunrays in 1965. Tacocat’s version is a total loopy-grin pop-punk charm attack, and you can hear it below.
Lost Time is out now on Hardly Art.
