Joey Kramer’s Rockin’ & Roastin’ Café Should Be A Fine Place For Fans Of Aerosmith’s Drummer To Get Coffee
Joey Fatone’s slinging hot dogs, Joey Kramer’s brewing coffee, and we’re all just slowly hurtling towards the sun and eagerly awaiting civilization’s inevitable end. The Aerosmith drummer has been making his own line of coffee for a few years now — “shade grown,” not “sun grown,” for you coffee nuts out there — and later this week he’ll open the first Rockin’ & Roastin’ brick-and-mortar coffee shop in the (I’m sure) lovely town of North Attleborough, MA, “situated at the intersection of Routes 1 and 1A.” (For what it’s worth, there’s also a Rockin’ & Roastin’ Café & Restaurant in nearby Newbury.) Here’s what you can expect from the new café, according to an ecstatic press release announcing its grand opening:
… a coffeehouse with rockstar edge …
… Kramer’s custom-designed Rockin’ & Roastin’ dragon has been reproduced into a bold sign with illuminated eyes …
… In a glass jewel case visible from the roadways, Kramer’s full drum kit from the recent “Global Warming” world tour is expertly backlit and displayed in all its glory …
… the ceiling is lined with undulating rock-and-roll images and memorabilia so while java aficionados await their Rockin’ & Roastin’ creations, they can experience a taste in music history …
… table seating and plush couches […] décor is unlike any other coffeehouse …
… Dark crimson tones as well as ornate moldings …
… complimentary WiFi …
“I’ve always wanted to start my own business and I’m humbled by how far Rockin’ & Roastin’ has come in the past couple of years,” Kramer said in the press release. “Opening up our flagship café is another way that I can continue to entertain fans in new and unique ways.”
The café’s grand opening is this Friday (7/1) at 9AM. No word on whether the much more appropriate Aerosmith Aeropress® is in the works. (You can have that one for free, Kramer.)
At least he has something to fall back on after Aerosmith reportedly wraps up next year.
