Watch Paul Simon Honor Scotty Moore With Elvis Cover At His First Queens Hometown Show In 46 Years
Paul Simon performed in Queens for the first time in 46 years last night at the borough’s Forest Hills Stadium. The last time he played the venue was with Art Garfunkel in 1970, and earlier this week Simon announced that he is likely to retire from music after this year. It’s also worth noting that Simon went to Forest Hills High School. The 74-year-old musician played a rendition of Elvis’ “That’s All Right” last night in honor of the King Of Rock And Roll’s guitarist and first manager Scotty Moore. This is the second time he’s covered the song, after the Vienna, VA show that took place this past Tuesday. Watch fan-shot footage below.
