Thee Oh Sees – “The Axis”
Next month, California garage-psych greats Thee Oh Sees are following up last year’s Mutilator Defeated At Last (and last month’s live album) with a new LP called — somewhat confusingly — A Weird Exits. We’ve already heard the sprawling rhythm section workout of first single “Plastic Plants,” and now they’re sharing another new one called “The Axis.” The spacey closing track mostly showcases the band’s mellower psychedelic side, but it still builds to a magnificently fuzzed-out conclusion. Listen below via The Fader.
A Weird Exits is out 8/12 on Castle Face.
