Newly Discovered Beatles Demo Up For Auction
As I noted while watching Paul McCartney kick out the jams recently, Beatlemania was a very long time ago, and seemingly every artifact from that era has been pored over by now. But as Metro reports, one new item emerged recently, a demo disc for Cilla Black’s 1964 hit “It’s For You.” A relative of the late singer found the disc among her belongings and took it to be valued, which eventually led to the discovery that McCartney, not Black, was singing on the track. It’ll be sold at the Beatles Memorabilia Auction on 8/27 for an expected price of £15K and £20K.
