M.I.A. Says Her Label Won’t Release Promised Diplo Collab
A couple of days ago, M.I.A. shared Blaqstarr’s remix of her new single “Bird Song,” which is, somewhat confusingly, the version that will appear on her forthcoming album A.I.M. Weeks ago, M.I.A. promised that she would reunite with her one-time romantic partner and collaborator Diplo on another version of “Bird Song,” and that version was supposed to come out yesterday. Obviously, that didn’t happen, and M.I.A. is blaming the delay on her label. “Interscope wont clear the diplo bird song so it can’t be released,” she wrote on Twitter.
@Interscope can you clear bird song @diplo version so it can be released this Friday !
