Hear The Verve’s Previously Unreleased “Shoeshine Girl”
Starry-eyed, expansive Britpoppers the Verve were more or less babies when they recorded their debut album, 1993’s beloved-in-certain-circles A Storm In Heaven. And they’ll revisit that era this fall when they release a huge three-CD reissue of the album. The new version will include a couple of previously unreleased tracks from those sessions, “Shoeshine Girl” and “South Pacific.” “Shoeshine Girl,” it turns out, is a swaggering psychedelic rock tune, the type of confidently woozy studio creation that they just don’t make anymore. Check it out below, via NME.
The deluxe edition of A Storm In Heaven is out 9/9.
