In our Week In Pop column yesterday, we looked at the extended shelf life of the modern pop star by way of Britney Spears, and last night Spears demonstrated her staying power by participating in an episode of James Corden’s crazy popular Carpool Karaoke late-night segment. Corden and Spears drove around Los Angeles and sang “Oops I Did It Again,” “Womanizer,” her new single “Make Me,” “Toxic,” and “…Baby One More Time,” all with some idle chit-chat about kids, the farce of marriage, and new bondage practices in between. Spears also stars in a new Apple Music commercial alongside Kevin Bacon, who dresses in her iconic red “Oops I Did It Again” music video outfit. Here’s that:
