Shut Up, Dude: This Week’s Best And Worst Comments
This weekend is the Gov Ball offshoot Meadows Music & Arts Festival in Queens’ Flushing Meadows Corona Park. That’s where they hosted the 1964 New York World’s Fair. My mom went to it and says it was chill.
I hope the Flying Men Of Papantla are still there. Also excited for Chance The Rapper.
Stereogum published a number of great features this week so please make sure you read them all as there will be a quiz on Monday. Here are your best and worst comments.

I want to go slap that photographer. It would have been weird for him to be naked? Weirder than a grown man who is so obsessed with his own baby picture that he has to jump in a pool every few years to remind us? Let the man enjoy his 15 minutes with his wang out. |

Michael, you truly are the best in the game at Music Journalism right now. This is phenomenal. Jay’s really gonna sell Tidal for scrap, hey? He can’t go under spotify’s user base and pay artists proper and he can’t go over the top of apple’s exclusives. There’s literally no home for Tidal in the market, even if the interface is real neat-o. |

One thing white people definitely have the right skin color for is completely sucking the nuance out of any discussion of race and making it entirely about their own hurt feelings |

This discussion is simply not necessary. It’s a result of an obsession with skin color, which is just an unimportant trait, and victimhood culture. |

There’s always someone saying that white people have the wrong skin color to do this or that… Is anyone going to tell us which things black people shouldn’t do/have because their skin color is the wrong one? |

It’s also on the short list to be the most irritating, although it’s got a steep hill to climb to be more irritating than a She & Him Christmas album. |
