Marching Church – “Lion’s Den” Video
Iceage frontman Elias Bender Rønnenfelt is releasing a new Marching Church album called Telling It Like It Is in just over a week. This will be the first project since he expanded the project from a solo endeavor to a full band featuring members of Lower and Hand Of Dust. We’ve already heard lead single “Heart Of Life” and his most recent followup “Lion’s Den.” Today, the latter gets a hazy, rich-hued visual treatment. Rønnenfelt gives an engaging performance of the song, as dark, sinister imagery quickly cuts with flickering lights. The menacing imagery matches the deep-burrowing grumble of the bassline perfectly to accentuate the mood of the song. It’s directed by Jimmy Durante, but presumably not the Jimmy Durante. Watch.
