The beginning of the video for “Trampoline,” a particularly giddy single from the permanently giddy UK experimental-pop trio Kero Kero Bonito, starts out uncharacteristically drab and grey, like the group had finally encountered human emotions like boredom or depression. It’s all a setup of course. The second frontwoman Sarah Midori Perry discovers her old childhood in her backyard, the video explodes into lights and glitter and mile-wide smiles.
