Most of Muncie Girls’ From Caplan To Belsize — the Exeter, UK-based Band To Watch’s debut album from earlier this year — is staunchly, fiercely political, but “Social Skills” is one of the songs on it that takes a tenderly personal angle as Lande Hekt sings about how her “loneliness is in remission.” The accompanying new video for the track features footage of the band hanging out in the woods and playing festivals around Europe, and makes a connection between the communal power of the band and abetting the isolation that often comes with being alone or depressed.
