Nine Of Swords got their start in Purchase, NY, but over the past few years they’ve been pulverizing venues around New York with their aggressively passionate hardcore. Next week, they’re releasing a new album, You Will Never Die, and they’re sharing one advance track from it (outside of a scene-setting intro), a thrasher called “Two Step II,” a companion track of sorts to a song from 2014’s I Can’t Stand My Own Face. It sees Rachel Gordon furious over feeling unappreciated as someone else gets credit without putting in the work — “This is no excuse, this is fucking abuse” — and directing that anger into loud, pent-up putdowns: “You’re boring! You’re boring! There’s nothing to you!” she screams. Listen below.
