Morrissey Postpones Four More US Shows
Earlier this week we noted Morrissey continuing his tradition of written pleas in favor of animal rights; specifically, ahead of his Detroit concert he called on General Motors to manufacture some vehicles with vegan leather. Now he’s applied an even more storied Morrissey tradition to that Detroit gig: He’s postponed it. Moz’s Cleveland, Chicago, and Houston shows have been pushed back as well, as message board users at Morrissey-Solo.com point out.
An Instagram post from Detroit-area Royal Oaks Music Theatre indicates that the shows are postponed “due to a member of the Morrissey touring party’s illness,” which may refer to keyboardist Gustavo Manzur, whose hospitalization already resulted in some postponements on this tour.
Rescheduled dates:
12/07 Detroit, MI @ Royal Oaks Music Theatre
12/09 Cleveland, OH @ Playhouse Square
12/10 Chicago, IL @ Aragon Ballroom
12/16 Houston, TX @ White Oak Music Hall
