Pharrell essentially put together the soundtrack for the new movie Hidden Figures, about the black women who worked in the American space program in the middle of the 20th century. We’ve posted a few of those songs, and last night, Pharrell was on The Tonight Show to perform another of those songs. “I See A Victory” is Pharrell’s track with Kim Burrell, a Texan gospel star and an absolute powerhouse vocalist. When the two sang the song with a massive gospel choir behind them, Pharrell essentially played hypeman and ceded the spotlight entirely to Burrell, which was the right decision. Pharrell also sat for an interview with Jimmy Fallon, where he talked about being friends with David Blaine and attempted to give Fallon expansive fashion advice.
