London Grammar – “Rooting For You”
Cinematically sweeping British balladeers London Grammar released their debut album If You Wait way back in 2013, and they finally seem ready to return with the follow-up this year. The group has released a new song called “Rooting For You,” replete with a live performance video that mirrors the track’s high drama. Hannah Reid spends the first two minutes singing a cappella in the dark until finally the lights come up and reveal her bandmates plus a small symphony orchestra. The music remains gentle and ethereal throughout, reaching glorious heights without really raising the volume. Watch it below, where you can also hear the studio recording.
No word on the new album yet, but “Rooting For You” is available at iTunes.
