Coldplay Reportedly Plan “Peace Concerts” For Israelis And Palestinians
Coldplay are planning two “peace concerts” for Israelis and Palestinians, The Times Of Israel reports. The concerts are scheduled for 11/3 and 11/4 and will be held at an outdoor location north of the Dead Sea. Fifty-thousand tickets will go on sale for each show as soon as security and all the logistics are arranged, and the tickets will be sold in both Israel and the Palestinian territories. The stated goal of the concerts is “to promote human rights and to bring people together,” and the band will travel to Israel two weeks before the shows to record a song with Israeli and Palestinian musicians.
UPDATE: Coldplay have denied reports that they’re playing these so-called “peace concerts,” according to Rolling Stone.
