Watch A$AP Mob’s Charmingly Ridiculous Colbert Performance
A$AP Mob recently announced the absolutely stacked lineup for their second Yams Day festival, honoring their late mastermind A$AP Yams. And a few days before the big event, the group appeared as musical guests on last night’s episode of Stephen Colbert’s Late Show, doing a fun, ridiculous, theatrical version of their Cozy Tapes Vol. 1: Friends posse cut “Crazy Brazy.” The group performed on a stage made to look like the sort of anarchic mental-ward lounge you see in One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, and they all played parts: Rocky in a wheelchair, Ferg ambling around in a straightjacket. At one point, Rocky knocked a tray full of pills into the air. Meanwhile, actors portraying nurses and security guards and mental patients did their best to stay in character. The whole thing makes for a fun leftfield late-night performance, and you can watch it below.
Cozy Tapes Vol. 1: Friends is out now on A$AP Worldwide/Polo Grounds/RCA. Yams Day is already sold out.
