Download Jeff Rosenstock Live And Acoustic At Vinyl Paradise
Today, Jeff Rosenstock released recordings from an acoustic performance he did at his friend’s Long Island record store back in October, supporting his then just-released triumph WORRY. Rosenstock runs through a fourteen song set of both new and old tunes, including recent singles such as “Pash Rash” and “Blast Damage Days,” backed by nothing more than his frenetic acoustic guitar. Live And Acoustic At Vinyl Paradise is available to download for free, but Rosenstock is accepting donations alongside the album for the Immigrant Defense Project, which challenges unfair policies, laws, or media that demonize immigrants, in addition to providing legal assistance and other resources. Here’s Rosenstock’s account of how the album came together:
Last year, my friend Dan opened a record store in Long Island and we almost immediately talked about doing an acoustic show the week whatever next record I was working on came out. The night of the final presidential debate, a bunch of us crammed into his small air-conditioned store, which soon became muggy with human sweat. I played a bunch of songs I’d never played before, with no microphones or PA system, spoke to some people, changed my shirt, drank a water and headed back home to get ready for tour. A buncha weeks later my buddy Dan e-mailed this recording and was like “heyyyy” and I was like “heyyyyyyy” and here we are!
