LCD Soundsystem, A Tribe Called Quest, Solange Headlining 2017 Pitchfork Music Festival
Pitchfork Music Festival’s Chicago iteration revealed its 2017 headliners today in a lengthy Facebook Live event that involved Chicago artist Shelby Rodeffer painting a mural promoting the festival in real time. However, before Rodeffer got around to painting the names, a Ticketfly email revealed LCD Soundsystem, A Tribe Called Quest, and Solange will headline on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday respectively. The fest returns once more to Chicago’s Union Park on the weekend of 7/14-16. Tickets are available here. The rest of the lineup will be revealed later this week.
In conjunction with the festival, Pitchfork and Solange’s Saint Heron label and website will be hosting an events series in Chicago from 7/13-16 including an on-site art installation, film screening, artist talks, late night jazz jam sessions, and more. The schedule, via Pitchfork:
