Chainsmokers Tie Beatles’ And Bee Gees’ Record For 3 Simultaneous Top 10 Songs
The Chainsmokers, the self-proclaimed “Nickelback of EDM,” unleashed the musical apocalypse last week by releasing their Coldplay collaboration “Something Just Like This.” This week, the song jumped into the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, taking residence alongside the duo’s other chart-mainstays “Paris” and “Closer.” The Chainsmokers are now one of only three artists who have ever had three singles simultaneously in the top 10, the other two being the Beatles and Bee Gees. That’s pretty demoralizing, but for anyone worried the Chainsmokers are about to start outdoing the Beatles’ legacy, take assurance in that no artist has still even come close to topping the Fab Four’s historic feat of holding all five of the top slots on the chart back in 1964.
The Chainsmokers’ debut album is coming way too soon.
