Red Bull Music Academy is bringing its month-long festival to NYC venues for the fifth consecutive year. Highlights from the upcoming concert and lecture series include An Ode To, Solange’s multimedia dance performance at the Guggenheim Museum; Gucci Mane and Zaytoven performing piano renditions of their songs; Sacred Bones’ 10th anniversary party featuring performances from Jenny Hval, Blanck Mass, the Men, Marissa Nadler, and Moon Duo with Jim Jarmusch; an Alice Coltrane tribute; Werner Herzog talking about the influence of music in his films; a Prince-themed dance party; a conversation with experimental music legend Alvin Lucier; and more.
