Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, & Ryan Adams Play Elton John’s 70th Birthday Party
Elton John celebrated his 70th birthday in style last night. Katy Perry, Jon Hamm, James Corden, and more attended his party at Red Studios Hollywood, which also served as a celebration of the 50th anniversary of his partnership with songwriter Bernie Taupin and benefited the Elton John Foundation and the Hammer Museum at UCLA, Rolling Stones reports. The event featured performances from stars like Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder, who teamed up to sing the latter’s Hotter Than July track “Happy Birthday” to Elton as a duet. Gaga and Elton himself also performed brief solo sets, and Ryan Adams took the stage to do “Rocket Man,” which he has performed live with Elton in the past. Watch some footage from the night below.
