DC’s Fort Reno Concert Series Needs Money To Keep Going
For decades, the Washington, DC park Fort Reno has been bringing free, volunteer-run live shows to the city twice a week every summer. The Fort Reno Concert Series is a national treasure, and shows at that space from DC bands like Fugazi and the Dismemberment Plan are among my favorite live-music memories. But the series came close to being canceled last summer, and it needs money to keep going. In a post on the Fort Reno website, organizers write that they’re hoping to raise at least $6,000 to keep the shows going this summer. This seems like a very doable goal.
