A Perfect Circle Might Finish Their Comeback Album Before Tool Do
We have been hearing for literally years about Tool’s next album. They’ve been working on the follow-up to 2006’s 10,000 Days for what feels like 10,000 days, and they keep hitting roadblocks. And now it suddenly seems likely that a Perfect Circle, one of Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan’s other bands, will put out an album before Tool do.
A Perfect Circle have somehow been silent for even longer than Tool; their last album was eMOTIVe, which came out in 2004. But Billboard reports that a Perfect Circle are now working on a new album and that they’ve just signed to BMG. Band member Billy Howerdel says, “We just signed a new record deal with BMG! Looking forward to sharing new music with you soon. New APC-2017!”
A Perfect Circle now has a new lineup. Keenan and Howerdel have been in the band since the beginning, and they’re now joined by former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha, as well as Devo’s Jeff Friedl and Eagles Of Death Metal’s Matt McJunkins.
