Hear A Previously Unreleased Bert Jansch & Johnny Marr Song “It Don’t Bother Me”
Johnny Marr was a longtime fan of the late Scottish folk musician and finger-picking virtuoso Bert Jansch, and the two met and worked together in the ’90s, with Marr playing guitar on Jansch’s 2000 album Crimson Moon. London label Earth Recordings has been working on reissuing Jansch’s entire catalog, and their latest offering is Living In The Shadows, Part Two: On The Edge Of A Dream, a new compilation featuring rare and unreleased material from Jansch’s post-2000s output. That includes an unreleased demo of “It Don’t Bother Me,” a acoustic rendition of the title track from Jansch’s second album that he recorded with Marr during the sessions for Crimson Moon. Hear it below via NPR.
Living In The Shadows, Part Two: On The Edge Of A Dream is out 4/28 on Earth Recordings.
