Guitarist, Bassist Quit Band Of Horses
Band Of Horses have been around for more than a decade, and yesterday the band’s guitarist Tyler Ramsey (pictured above) announced his departure. Consequence Of Sound points out that Ramsey took to Instagram to break the news:
Saying farewell after 10 years to the band of horses. We certainly had some good times and I’m sure I will miss the beautifully dysfunctional family we became. I’ll be releasing my new record and touring this fall and I look forward to seeing everybody!
A few hours later, bassist Bill Reynolds announced his departure from the band via Facebook:
I’d like to thank all the beautiful folks I have met out there on the road with Band of Horses. Thank you for all the support and encouragement, I am very grateful to have been a part of such an amazing band. I am moving on to pursue other things. I will be producing records, doing photography, and who knows, maybe I’ll go on the road again someday.
Lots of Love, Bill
Both Ramsey and Reynolds have been with Band Of Horses since Cease To Begin was released in 2007. The band is about to start a long summer tour, which kicks off in Tallahassee, FL on 5/18 and includes festival stops at Hangout, BottleRock, End Of The Road, and Way Out West. No word on who will replace Ramsey and Reynolds during the tour.
