Ah, nothing like a supremely lame ad! Take this one for example: The latest TV ad for Google’s personal assistant/NSA spy device Google Home features a clueless dad trying to relate to his daughter’s study buddy by seeing his sick Foxygen tee and very discreetly asking his Google Home, “What is Foxygen’s latest album?,” and then trying to impress the kid with his newfound knowledge. I actually sorta feel for the dad — being a dad seems hard! — but less so for whoever cooked up this commercial. Seems sorta ridiculous that anyone, dad or kid, would be asking what the latest Foxygen album was in 2017. Check it out below.
