The Pollyseeds – “Up & Away”
The great Los Angeles saxophonist and producer Terrace Martin has been fusing the worlds of jazz, funk, and rap for a long time, working with artists like Kendrick Lamar and Kamasi Washington. And now he’s spearheading a new project called the Pollyseeds, a utopian collective with a new album called The Sounds Of Crenshaw Vol. 1 coming out next month. We’ve already posted the excellent first single “Intentions,” and now they’ve also shared the spaced-out funk hymn “Up & Away”; check it out below.
The Sounds Of Crenshaw Vol. 1 is out 7/14 on Ropeadope.
