Stone Roses Reportedly Break Up Again
After initially breaking up in 1996, the great Manchester psych-rock band the Stone Roses reunited to tour in 2011. Last year, they released two new singles and played their first NYC show in decades, and it seemed that a new album might actually be on the way. But now, it’s looking less and less like that. After playing the last date of their UK tour in Glasgow last night, as NME reports, Ian Brown seemingly suggested that the Stone Roses have broken up again, telling the crowd, “Don’t be sad it’s over, be happy that it happened.” That’s not exactly crystal-clear confirmation, but fans who were at the show seem to be pretty convinced that they’re done. Whatever the case may be, we still got two new Stone Roses songs, so we can indeed be happy that that happened.
