Hypebeast readers, do we have a brand convergence for you! Fender has developed a new version of its iconic Stratocaster electric guitar in cooperation with Supreme, the skater-friendly, Odd-Future-beloved streetwear label that has worked with Morrissey, Neil Young, Daniel Johnston, and Slayer. The guitar will be sold with a Supreme-branded case, strap, and picks. As Reverb notes, “Based on appearances, this is likely intended more as a decorative, collectable item than a primarily functional guitar.” That makes sense; I’m sure there’s a lot of overlap between Supreme’s clientele and people who’d buy a guitar just to display it in their home.
