New York punk/post-hardcore quartet Big Ups are returning later this month with Two Parts Together, the follow-up to their excellent 2016 album Before A Million Universes. We’ve already heard two songs, the hard-charging “PPP” and “Fear,” and now we’re getting a third.

New song “Imaginary Dog Walker” is Two Parts Together’s sprawling, ruminative closing track, and its philosophical musings take on nothing less than the nature of human existence itself. Slowly simmering over the course of its five-minute runtime, the song’s thunderous climax finds frontman Joe Galarraga’s deadpan spoken-word delivery flaring up into a full-on howl.
