Last year, Buffalo garage-punks Velvet Bethany released a supremely fun album called Rock And Roll Vacation. Today, they’re following it up with an absolutely ass-kicking new song called “Throw Your Stone.” (At least for now, it’s a standalone track, but the cover art suggests that there might be a new record called Abuse Paradigm on the way.

“Throw Your Stone” is a fast, angry fuck-you song. It’s driven by a wild, serrated guitar riff and by a hailstorm of drums, but there’s also a flute or a recorder or something buried in the mix. Lyrically, it’s directed at an overly aggressive dude. Best line: “Why don’t you just go jerk off in the toilet.” If basement shows are going to continue to exist in the future, then “Throw Your Stone” seems like it should make for a cathartic basement show singalong.
