Full Of Hell – “Language Of Molten Cherubs”
The underground metal extremists Full Of Hell come from Ocean City, a Maryland beach town and a fitting backdrop for their harsh, abrasive noise-laced grindcore attack. One day, I really need to get the full Ocean City experience, which probably involves playing mini-golf on an alien-themed course that’s right next to a pirate-themed course while wearing an airbrushed T-shirt and high on salvia. When I do that, I’ll have to have Full Of Hell’s hideous seethe-spit chaos blasting in my headphones.
Last year, Full Of Hell came out with their reliably ugly album Weeping Choir. Earlier this year, Sightless Pit — Full Of Hell frontman Dylan Walker’s side project with Lingua Ignota’s Kristin Hayter and the Body’s Lee Buford — released their impressive debut album Grave Of A Dog. And now Full Of Hell have returned with a particularly nasty new song.
“Langage Of Molting Cherubs,” the new Full Of Hell joint, is a contribution to the always-fascinating Adult Swim Singles series. It lurches back and forth between blistering fast grind and pounding, static-y noise that’s been laced with avant-garde saxophone scribbles. You presumably already know whether this is up your alley. If you’re feeling up tot he task, listen to it below.
Weeping Choir is out now on Relapse.
