Joyer – “Fall Apart”
In January, shoegaze duo Joyer announced their new album Night Songs. So far, we’ve heard “Silver Moon,” “Drive All Night,” and “Star,” and today they’re unleashing “Fall Apart.” It’s groovy indie rock with lyrics about the temptation of self-destruction, interrupted halfway through by a blip of incendiary shoegaze.
“In the past we’ve made a lot of slow music so we thought it would be fun to make a more frantic sounding song for a change,” Shane Sullivan said in a statement. “We wanted to center the song around a hypnotic motorik beat and we kind of built from there. ‘Fall Apart’ is about recklessness and self sabotage and how people easily let their lives spin out of control.”
They’re also announced some US tour dates. Check those out below, along with “Fall Apart.”
