The former Brockhampton leader released his indie rock experiment Blanket last year, and he’s done a lot since then. During his Coachella set, Abstract brought out Sky Ferreira, and they covered Lady A’s “Need You Now” together. Abstract also covered “Once In A Lifetime” on that Stop Making Sense tribute compilation. He collaborated with Lil Nas X and Toro Y Moi. Today, he’s got a new song with Nourished By Time.

Nourished By Time, the culty and critically beloved Baltimore musician, has been plenty busy since he released his own 2023 album Erotic Probiotic 2. Thus far this year, Nourished By Time has released the Catching Chickens EP and the compilation Scenic Route – Road Less Travelled Vol. 2.

In a since-deleted tweet, Kevin Abtract said that his new Nourished By Time collab “Creek” is part of a new mix that he’ll be releasing one song at a time. “Creek” has a bubbling, low-key beat, and it alternates between Nourished By Time’s scrawled R&B vocals and Abstract’s own conversational romantic raps.
