Anybody love this band but, at the same time, unsure how they are able to stomach their bullshit? I mean, they're a blast but I feel like the absurdity should be more unbearable than it is.
I agree that the domestic bliss angle is bs (and very strange, in general).
But I find both "The Big Day" and "Coloring Book" endearing and delightful. I'm simply unclear what exactly everybody is wanting from him, I guess. Both seem like logical evolutions in his sound and message. I'll admit that it's a bit bloated but not enough to write it off as an outright bomb that so many seem to do.
I know there were at least a few of y'all excited for this one but this new M. Ward is a glorious return to form. Gonna fill these heavy days/nights pretty well.
