Hudson Mohawke dropped a killer track yesterday, yo: https://youtu.be/nHXRMIwpW_Y
Not of my world, serious talker.
I absolutely agree with you on this one, Bloc. His opinion on this matter is shit.
This is so over-the-top writing from the title to the last line that I cannot be the only one to think this is almost unbearable to read. Good Lord.
Boy, did this put a gigantic smile on my face. I don't care what anybody says, this is a GREAT GBV SONG.
(Just to say that I will have to add Alicia Keys new album to my list of favourites of the year. Boy oh boy, that record is the yan of Solange's yin).
BTW, bloc, thanks for the tip regarding Nicolas Jaar's new album. That thing is a pure beauty.
Well, if the music is as good as those two records, I'm sold.
When I think I couldn't have more respect for Danny, he drops this. It's my favourite album this year too. His record, Solange's, Bon Iver's, Kanye's, PJ Harvey's and Nicolas Jaar's come pretty close though.
Two unbearable egomaniacs. Loved Pros & Cons and Amused to Death though. Probably still do.
Feedback is gold.
She can't turn her back to her own destiny. Lucky you.
People need to be educated about the meaning and value of parody.
Gorgeous. Mark Eitzel is such an intense and gifted songwriter.
Sounds like The Knife, which is great.
I love how the last sentence of this article is a self-critic: "Intent is one thing. Execution is another".
Wow, this is just what I needed to listen to this morning. Fabulous.
Great interview, Matt.
So the fact that all this happen in a Lana del Rey gig is the reason it deserved a place in Stereogum. Talking about slow weeks.
That's a classic Norm Macdonald line, come on. Don't be a battle axe! :-)
"Dylan played guitar for the first time since 2012" is probably a tiny little bit exaggerated.
Boy, that 22, A Million really dominated my week. I would never thought Bon Iver would end up releasing my AOTY.
God damned, I really like that record, but judging by this Mike D should remix all the tracks.
311 in my book is 111111. Now 1+1+1+1+1+1 is 6 and 3+1+1 is 5, therefore 6-5=1. There can be only one.
The Nobel wins Dylan. What a honour for the Swedish.
All works for me, thank God! Congrats, Tom: great idea, entertaining intros, and strong ranking. I had completely forgotten that this Cypher series existed!
I'm half French and Portuguese, but you guys have been really important in improving my English. Thanks, dan.
So I finally received today my special edition of A Moon Shaped Pool. Two things. One: the artwork really explodes in all its elusive beauty in this format. It's not only the size, but the quality of the printing and the additional paintings from Doonwood. I was very critical of the artwork when I bought the CD, but now I see I was wrong. Two: on CD, Spectre is the most beautiful song ever recorded by Radiohead.
Kelly, what a joy to be able to read something from you again. I hope Stereogum will cherish your idiossincratic allure.
It will only be available on November. I do not understand that. The same thing happened with Blood Orange. Why make people wait so damned long?
