Dear Lord, Tom. Stop marketing your morals, will you?
Word. Between this one, Kanye's, Radiohead's, Blood Orange's and Solange's, the struggle is pretty fierce in my mind.
What the heck was Fallon holding in his hands? Was that a vinyl of Colouring Book? Or just a print? I obviously admire his stance towards not selling his music, but why take away the opportunity from old silly men like me to buy it if I want it? God knows how much I have felt the absence of an official vinyl ou CD of his albums to put on my stereo. Painful.
This brings me back to the days when I could rarely show my age simply because of music restrictions.
- Hello, Album Teaser. - Helloa, Almotasim. - When you grow up and become a music video, call me. - I will.
Spent the whole weekend listening to the album and I'm completely floored. She has really found her voice, which makes comments such as that Aaliyah comparison (which is spot on, by the way) so unfair when commenting this amazing achievement. It really does not sound like anything else I have heard this year and, the same time, it filled a void that I didn't know existed in what has been such an incredible 2016. I don't see myself listening to anything else this week. And god know how I was eager to put my teeth on the new Danny Brown.
Man, I can say the same thing about The Idiot being more a Bowie album than an Iggy one or Fictitious Sports being more a Carla Bley album than a Nick Mason one. It has nothing to do with gender.
Really psyched to listen to this. But True is really a Devonté Hynes record with Solange vocals. He even played live some of those songs as Blood Orange before the EP was released.
No Devonté Hynes as an inspiration? Come on, now, girl.
I love Age of Adz, it's still my most listened album from him.
No bummer AT ALL. The soundcloud file has a terrible quality!!!
I AM GOING TO RECEIVE ONE OF THESE BECAUSE I AM THAT KIND OF GUY WHO BUYS THIS KIND OF EXPENSIVE STUFF DEAR LORD WHY WHY???
"This is an academic book — Harvard University Press published it". Good Lord, Tom.
This Utada Hikaru Cover really brings out the Mondai out of Shakai. Banzai.
Devonté Hynes said in several interviews that this album was going to blow our minds. That's all the recommendation I need to be utterly excited for its coming release.
"Here’s the dirty little secret nobody wants you to know about Tidal: It’s actually a really good streaming service." That's what I've been saying all this time. Love you, Nelson.
What an amazing bunch of songs this week has been granted. Keep Your Name is my SOTY so far.
I absolutely agree with you, my friend.
Sorry, but I am a Dirty Projectors huge fan and I love this.
Funny how you keep forgetting 2018.
Good Lord, right now this sounds like the best thing I have ever heard in my life. Can't stop replaying it.
Wow the similarity between this cover art and Wild Beasts' latest freak me out. I mean: even the title. Star Boy / Boy King.
That samba whistle just wraps the whole thing beautifully
This was absolutely awful. And I like Die Antwoord.
Their worst album by a mile.
I mean, i could be only a store to be honest.
She is young, beautiful, has a personality and sings beautifully. Plus she covers Bob Dylan and plays with The Roots. I'm sold.
"I remember when I first went Radio / I couldn't believe it was in the kitchen". Congrats, Skepta! Couldn't be happier.
