What the heck was Fallon holding in his hands? Was that a vinyl of Colouring Book? Or just a print?
I obviously admire his stance towards not selling his music, but why take away the opportunity from old silly men like me to buy it if I want it? God knows how much I have felt the absence of an official vinyl ou CD of his albums to put on my stereo. Painful.
Spent the whole weekend listening to the album and I'm completely floored. She has really found her voice, which makes comments such as that Aaliyah comparison (which is spot on, by the way) so unfair when commenting this amazing achievement. It really does not sound like anything else I have heard this year and, the same time, it filled a void that I didn't know existed in what has been such an incredible 2016. I don't see myself listening to anything else this week. And god know how I was eager to put my teeth on the new Danny Brown.
Man, I can say the same thing about The Idiot being more a Bowie album than an Iggy one or Fictitious Sports being more a Carla Bley album than a Nick Mason one. It has nothing to do with gender.
Really psyched to listen to this. But True is really a Devonté Hynes record with Solange vocals. He even played live some of those songs as Blood Orange before the EP was released.
Devonté Hynes said in several interviews that this album was going to blow our minds. That's all the recommendation I need to be utterly excited for its coming release.
"Here’s the dirty little secret nobody wants you to know about Tidal: It’s actually a really good streaming service."
That's what I've been saying all this time. Love you, Nelson.
