This EP has been such a great companion throughout so many sleepless nights when my kid was hospitalized (he's in perfect health right now, thank God).
It was with deep sadness that I realised that so many gummers downvoted one of my recent comments. Allow me to quote myself:
"I'm 100% heterossexual, of course, but I really can't say no to a juicy cock."
I think the down votes are due to a misunderstanding regarding what I meant by "juicy cock" (and, obviously, I am the only one to blame for that). Allow me to explain myself more clearly: by "juicy cock" I only meant an healthy, robust, thick male reproductive organ with perfumed drippings.
Thank you for your time.
Every Summer should come with a new Metronomy album. This one sounds a lot like the kind of tracks of their first album, which is absolutely fine to my ears.
This is so naive, raptor jesus. To think you can step outside of your enjoyment or, even worst, to think that enjoyment can taint your analysis abilities. Quite the opposite, my friend.
But there lies something fascinating in what you wrote: what if you paid once for an album and keep receiving for free its updates. That's pretty much what has happened to Tidal subscribers (like myself) who purchased TLOP: I got two albums for the price of one.
But hey: I'm still expecting an email from Tidal with a link to download "Saint Pablo".
I don't give a fuck about intentions, bro. The track sounds beautiful at the end of that fucking record. But I'm way open and curious to see your sequencing of the album. Go ahead bro!
No Paranoid Android cover, though he did play Creep at the soundcheck. They looked pretty amazed by the warm reception: the drummer even said that they had a public twice as big in Barcelona but that we made twice as much noise. It was just great.
During the weekend there was the Primavera Sound Festival here in Porto, Portugal. PJ Harvey and Car Seat Headrest absolutely killed it. Polly was on stage with nine fabulous make musicians (Mick Harvey, John Parish, Terry Edwards and Jean-Marc Butty were among them) that absolutely helped her to deliver what I consider the best show I saw in my life. I had the chance to speak to Will Toledo before the concert and he was really friendly and sympthetic. The show was such an adrenaline rush: turns out I wasn't the only one who knew all his songs lyrics by heart. A real communion: at the end I found myself give a hug to lots of strangers.
Cass McCombs was also superb: he and his band went progressive on us and there were moments that they souberdes just like the Dead. Deerhunter are always great and Protomartyr turnês me into a fan.
Oh I also fell in love with Cate Le Bon.
