I'm failling tremendously to connect with this record. Please, help me.
Kendrick and this. 2015 is gonna kill me.
Absolute killer track. And the lyrics work as some kind of lost manifesto that suddenly throw some light and purpose to what have been all their shenanigans. Absolutely love it.
This is such an amazing song. This guy is really reaching the peak of his game.
Wow. That must have been such a trip when you found out.
One of your best pieces (Van Morrison Wort to Best Albums) is missing #2 and #1 (plus lost all its comments) which is really a shame and breaks my heart. http://www.stereogum.com/1674114/van-morrison-albums-from-worst-to-best/franchises/counting-down/attachment/vanmorrison_saintdominic/
I finding the OST quite boring. Another side-effect of Stereogum's new template, obviously.
Am I the only one in love with THEESatisfaction's EarTHEE?
By microwaving I meant staring at the cup of coffee with great intensity and warming it up with the microwaves of my mind. Which is different but, let's face it, is probably also my problem number one.
Good Lord, do I get lost on this new Stereogum template. I wanted to microwave a nice cup of coffee and I ended up writing this comment for a Best Coast video. What I really needed was a Best Toast to go with my coffee, so that was a close one.
Good Lord! Stereogum has been Wordpressed! Still early to say anything about it now coz it looks like a work in progress, but a) it's about time; b) I'm worried; and c) good luck for the tremendous work ahead.
Not funny at all. Which is kinda funny in a twisted way. What I mean is: you made me laugh.
I fee 100%l like g zuss. I have the whole discography of Mark Kozelek's musings and Benji has grown to become my favorite album of his. I kinda lost my love for him around Old Ramon (his worst album if you ask me) and it took me a while to fully sink my teeth into Sun Kil Moon. GOTGH and April are obviously masterpieces, but it's definitely Among The Leaves and Benji that touched me the deeper.
I feel ya. Plus this track has a level 5 of Hynes Awesomeness.
What a great track. I'm feeling your Simpathy for the Devil analogy, those lyrics are just criminally smart.
Wow, I'm served.
And it's really going psychedelic. That outro is trippy as hell.
Underwhelmed to be honest. But I guess I need to recalibrate my expectations towards Sufjan.
Absolutely beautiful. And The Books were an unique band.
Chris DeVille: great write-up. I agree 100% with everything you said, which is a first for me on something gummy.
Vince Staples' Green Door absolutely killed it this week, but I know it was inaccessible most of the day (but now it's on again: http://youtu.be/62ST_xsaZUI). Hope you'll consider it again next week, coz this is Best Video Of The Year material for sure.
It's public again. I bet it was to blur that black T-Shirt brand and/or message that the video was temporarily inaccessible.
Absolutely. You're spot on and I felt exactly the same as soon as I read the title.
This has nothing of the classic Groundhog Day plot line of nightmarish repetition, since the timeline is continuous: no flashbacks in here. Anyway, great video.
Still a lame excuse. I would prefer if you would assume that Lodger was from 1978. :-)
Ah but Pretzel Logic should higher. It's even number 1 for me, but I would settle for #2. But at number 4, I guess you guys will have to speak with my lawyers.
Red House Painters 1992 - Down Colorful Hill 1993 - Red House Painters (aka Rollercoaster) 1993 - Red House Painters (aka The Bridge) 1994 - Shock Me EP 1995 - Ocean Rain 1996 - Songs For A Blue Guitar
This is the most intense and beautiful thing possibly ever. And that's an euphemism.
Absolutely. This is becoming one of my favorites team-ups of the year so far. That record is gonna be AWESOME.
Sometimes I do feel the same.
