For the Lord of me, I can’t find Dylan on your list. Must be my eyes.
Im going to need a photofinish between this one and KSG to decide which one will be my album of the year.
I really cannot connect with her music. I'll keep trying though.
Is there a link? Would love to read that. And Bayou is also stellar btw.
Indeed. What is mindblowing though is the fact that Green River and Willy are even better.
Here's another to start talking about Creedence Clearwater Revival big 50. Du, du, du, looking at my back door.
It’s already my favourite of the year so far. And the closing track my SOTY.
That’s a tenner if I ever heard one.
Sorry, Minaj, but she was the only Queen in my book. Greatest performer ever.
Banter Ye. It’s what it is.
Don’t tell me how to move!
AOTY! Nah, just kidding.
Surprised that nobody spilled a word about the tunning.
Very good call. But Like À Rolling Stone is still the one for me.
We need to start talking about Creedence Clearwater Revival 50th anniversary.
This fills my heart with joy.
He's a decent guy indeed. At least judging by his Nardwar interview (the Human Serviette interviewing the Human Diapper is a sight to behold).
It was my vote as well.
I feel you. Let's buy him a ticket to Wyoming.
Let me say this right away: I hope that Tom makes a book of this series and that he invites you to publish these recaps of yours as well (you know, like Shea Serrano did with The Rap Yearbook). I would buy several copies of this book in a heartbeat.
Absolutely. Not only the elegant stacking of geometric shapes, but the color palette. Another green world.
Man, I love those recaps of yours.
Let me add my voice to the chorus of praise that already fills the comments: this is the best thing I have read here’s in a long time. Lord shine your light on me, set me free (stay strong).
Could use a new Oldham album right now. I know it’s weird but Arise Therefore is still my favourite record to listen to in the hot summer nights.
Coke, my friend: this is an amazing. record. BTW, thanks for the heads up regarding Dirty Pro.
Wow. How can you write a piece about Hello Nasty and not mention Mário Caldato Júnior? That guy rulled my late nineties.
It is not fair to say that The Avalanche is better than Illinoise, but it has such a distinct cohesion and character that it's really unfair to consider it as a mere outtake collection. The Avalanche is better than Illnoise.
That's what I did and I never looked back since.
I am devastated. I am such a big fan of his work, specially those records with Damien Jurado. Godammit.
Solid choices. Not sure if it flows though. I’ll give it a try later.
I stand in awe for reading something like this in Stereogum. Niggas On The Moon is my second favourite DG album right after Government Plates, but this new one has already grabbed me. By the way: I love listening to DG in low volume, which may sound counter-intuitive.
