When that beat enters at 2:00 on the first track. I want to buy that bass line and raise my child in it.
The state of the world right now: no TLOP, Daytona, Ye or KSG on CD, but this nonsense yes. When will be Nadir streaming? Hate the world right now.
Number one is ridiculous.
This is fire. It sounds very different from Daytona, Ye and KSG: no murk or chaos on this one. Nas sounds great. Good Lord.
Guns and Drums by a long shot. Well, not that long, but my favourite anyway.
Mine too. Been a Low fan since 1994 and was kinda disappointed with their last two records. This sounds promising. Cokeparty: what should one do to make Low join the Wyoming Sessions. That would be a blast.
I wanted to upvote and I downvoted your comment by mistake. Agree 100% with you.
Let’s wait for the last two chapters and reshuffle the whole mother fucker!
I wish I could listen to the whole Wyoming sessions with you, bro. And talk about the Basement Tapes at the same time. Silly me.
The order didn’t change, right? Just the name of the songs.
Absolutely. I might admit that Ye is so far the lesser record, but it keeps growing on every listen. 3 on 3 so far for me.
Tom’s really nailing it when he says that sonically TLOP and The Wyoming Sessions have brought us a new Kanye (“murk, grime and chaos”). It just happens that I am very thrilled with this new approach, because it seems to not only fit his mental state, but shows us a Kanye moving forward. KSGS is also a beautiful record about friendship. I just love it.
It sounds like genius work to me as well. 4th Dimension alone would be enough to validate all the Wyoming sessions. I’m talking Lacoste.
- Hello Wyoming tapes. - Hello, almotasim. - I like the way you move. - You like the way, You like the way.
Why impulsiveness? the Life of Pabo ongoing process was not an accident, but a shift of paradigm.
Here's something beautiful: https://youtu.be/7LIDttsxFbU
Regarding Ye: funny how the track I enjoyed the least on first listens, All Mine, has become my favourite: that industrial beat at the end is absolutely staggering. What an amazing album, godamn'. Can't wait for Kids See Ghosts.
Spot on. The owners of the ranch should be ashamed instead of bragging their incompetence.
I love Takashi Murakami, what a great choice. The Wyoming Basement Tapes plot thickens.
Godamn, already this Friday? What a great time to be a Ye’s fan!
HAve you notice how the fucking review practically doesn’t even mention music?
If J Prince says it’s blablabla, blablabla. Ridiculous.
I thinks that Ye is an amazing fucking album and I really enjoyed this interview.
Just put it on repeat. It last track flows beautifully into the first one. I’m truly in awe.
So here I am. It’s 11pm in Porto, Portugal, i’ve put my 2 year old to sleep. My wife’s sleeping as well. I smoked a blunt and listened to Ye for the hundredth time. I can honestly say now it’s not only my favourite Kanye album (sorry Tom) but also one of my favourite albums ever. Kanye, you awful beautiful motherfucker.
No no no: Kanye hasn't still released his Blood on the Tracks. 808s for me is obviously his Desire. The rest makes totally sense to me.
Oh believe me, it's freaking good.
Dylan and Bowie comparaisons, you got me all wet (and both make actual sense). I am already loving this freaking album.
This is such a strange collection of songs. I absolutely love the opening track, and although I wasn't able to connect to any other song on first listens, I caught myself already humming the melody of Yikes, Ghost Town and Violent Crimes. So far, it is my least favourite Kanye album. But I am so fucking far from being done with it.
That was cute. Adults have a lot to learn from teenagers.
I wish I could say I didn’t enjoyed Views but I actually loved it (and still do). It’s a guilty pleasure, though.
I am agreeing so much with you these days that I’m afraid of losing my personality. I hope this will get a vinyl release.
