I like it. It's not what I expect or want a Justin Timberlake song to sound like but it's going to make for a good radio hit. At least until it gets too ubiquitous to enjoy
You're not alone! I absolutely LOVE Mr. Wonderful. It's not consistent and some of the filler is annoying but god damn the highs are HIGH. Some of those songs are stone-cold classics. Easy Rider is just.... sheesh.
I wasn't that big on Blue Chips 7000 though. Might need to listen again, but it kind of didn't leave any mark on me
Saw him maybe 2 years ago and it was extremely enjoyable. I was going to say "go see him while you still have a chance" but then I read how it's going to be a 300-show tour and realized y'all got plenty of chances
I saw them last year at Primavera and it was pretty fun. The best thing about their set was that it was IMMEDIATELY after Bon Iver played at the stage that was opposite. They were soundchecking during Vernon's set and he was really excited and amused at this. Greatest booking ever
Not a word in the comments about that cover art? I think this one stands out even by of Montreal standards. I think I like it! I definitely know I like the song!
Viet Cong is one of the best records of the past 5 years. They also put on an amazing live show (which I was lucky enough to catch twice within a week last year!)
Anyone here got on the Shame train already? I can't recommend their debut Songs of Praise enough. It's been playing on repeat since I found out about it a few days ago and it's just a wonderful gem of English Post-Punk (or whatever you feel like describing it as). Some fantastic guitar work and fun, angsty lyricism there. Don't miss out!
