rj I knew I liked you before but now I'm pretty sure I'm in love
OK I'm pretty sure it's because of the html tags. Just in case no one understands what I'm talking about, this is how the comment appears on my computer now - http://i.imgur.com/qmJbPYs.png
What the hell happened to this comment? I'm 100% sure it used to make sense earlier but now it's just random words (although that would look great in the SUD)
Mostly waiting for Real Estate and Spoon this week, but I've just listened to No Halo for the first time and it's so good i'll make sure to check this album out too. Also love the fact that the Drake whatever is billed as a playlist, mostly because that's what most people did with Views
Atlas is their best record and at least for me in the top 5 albums of 2014. I can't be more excited to finallt hear In Mind, especially after hearing Darling which I would rank as one of their best ever songs
I'd say Passover is one of the more dreaded holidays here, because it's sorta like Christmas with all the huge family dinners, only that because everyone in those dinners are Jewish everyone just makes each other more miserable
The National Anthem --> How to Disappear; Optimistic --> In Limbo... this could go on
This is straight fire. noted to check the album out
Seeing Thundercat in a few days. Can't fucking wait, although I didn't like Drunk as much as Apocalypse so far. Still pumped! Coincidentally, it's Purim this weekend (Jewish Halloween), so I've been recovering from a violent hangover today just to so I can get mad drunk tomorrow again. Going as Wayne and Garth with the gf. Schwing!
Man, this place used to have BEEFS, but now we're all nice and shit, getting to know each other's showering habits. I remember a time when michael_ was picking fights with everyone and rubjohn was ruling the charts. The world has changed
Still insanely mad I missed him in Primavera last year to see Moderat. They were good, but they weren't Ty fucking Segall
New Fleet Foxes and Real Estate are fantastic & should've been here, but the PWR BTTM song is so great I can't even be mad about anything
Nude > Weird Fishes / Arpeggi
Dunno man, I thought Darling was one of their finest to date
Tel Aviv! They did a one-off here before their US tour
Never wanted to be a friend of a musician as much as with this dude
Woo! More Woods is always great
Exactly what I wanted to say. Was in my personal top 10 of the year, fantastic album
Awesome! Pretty sure they played this when I saw them about 10 months ago (Julian Lynch's debut show). If I recall correctly it was called Harpsichord on the setlist
Yeah, it's great. Especially like the electric guitar on the first part. And the cover art is beautiful!
Up in Hudson is phenomenal. Kinda bummed that the 20 second intro is not in the album version though because that was fantastic
On the list of stuff that makes getting back not as depressing: I have tickets to Thundercat next month, fka Viet Cong in May, and MOTHERFREAKING RADIOHEAD ARE COMING HERE ON JULY WTF I CAN'T FUCKING WAIT
Hi Stereofam! I'm back! I got home last week and haven't really gotten my shit together yet but that just means I'll be around more until I do! What a fucking week to be back on though. New fantastic albums from Los Campesinos! (Forever my indie crush of the 00's), Dirty Projectors, Thundercat, and very soon Minus the Bear and FJM, not to talk about all the stuff I've missed in the past few months and am having a fantastic time catching up to! What a time to be alive. Happy weekend y'all!
This is that one time where I'm glad Spotify is unavailable here
Album cover is very bad though
Holy shit this is so good. Also this is the announcement I've been waiting for for a year! Can't fucking wait
First he loses the brooch and now his mind? Gotta be more careful Papa John
Thanks man!! Not officialy back for a couple weeks, but I had to snag some precious Wifi here to sing the praises of Sampha. Seriously, Process is that fucking good
Haven't heard this yet but I honestly have a hard time imagining its any better than Sampha's album. I've been listening to it on repeat since it leaked, and it's soooooo good. I've waited for 6 years for this guy to release an album and boy, he does not disappoint. ...That said, I'm excited about the idea that Syd's album might be as good.
I Would Hurt a Fly never fails to give me the chills. Everything about this song is haunting, but that transition at the end is a fucking blast. Truly one of the greatest indie rock songs of all time
Atlas was my favorite album of 2014 and this is one of my most expected for 2017. This single is incredible, so happy were getting a new album soon
I love this band so much. Glad to hear there's a new one the way
Also At the Drive-In - Arcarsenal
Kinda niche, but I always adored Bear vs. Shark's "Catamaran"
Pretty much every single Radiohead album since The Bends has GOAT-contender opener. Airbag? 15 Step? 2+2=5? Planet fucking Telex? All classic openers (yeah, even Bloom checks out)
Where is Cold Water? Let Me Love You has the better Bieber feature but that one also has MØ, so it gets extra points. Other than that, the best song on Lemonade is definitely All Night, and I have never heard Into You before this list, but it's pretty good. It has nothing on Broccoli though
"The Sea is..." is one of the best songs of all time IMO
