Didn't realize how much I missed those guys. One of my favorite bands ever. This is so great
Quick everyone upvote this so Scott has trouble putting this in this week's SUD
Ok I'm not sure it actually means that but I really hope so!
Probably means there's a new Ty album by the end of the year. Two Oh Sees and two Ty albums in a year could be a dream come true
Kendrick, Danny Brown, Schoolboy, Isaiah Rashad all released great albums
Me three. Can someone maybe be a friend and link to the download URL? I really need to hear this
I just listened to Strangers to Ourselves again yesterday and its honestly not that bad. Could definitely use some editing (like every MM album) but it got some killer tracks (especially The Ground Walks which is just unbelieveably good)
This week much like the next few (months) is all about American Football for me. So glad to have it in my life right now. I also can't stop listening to 22 A Million yet. It's honestly so amazing. This year is crazy
Sounds like a sick mosh pit was going on in that concert
I love having this album in my life right now. I also love knowing I will have a chance to see them live sometime
Everything about this is fucking great. The song, the titlet, the cover. Love this dude so much
I feel extremely proud of this comment
30 Hours is most definitely the most underrated SOTY though
Does that mean she's no longer in Dirty Projectors though? Going to miss her vocals there very much. At least this sounds like a very promising album!
At least it's better than Can't Stop Partying
I really don't like this song, but at least it's the worst on the album and the rest is actually pretty good!
He also has a very long song with God in its title, though he raps too fast on it so I'm not exactly sure what he's talking about
What a beautiful rendition! Hope they do one for Decks Dark
This is fucking fantastic news and a real great song! I really like when Dwyer does the Beatles-y thing, I thought Drop wasn't very focused but it's a great direction for them. This track is going to be quite an earworm
I thought the same about Exits but it simply smashes live. Seriously, Gelatinous Cube and Plastic Plant are fucking killers
This is a really great track. Love that it's on a split with Wavves too. Good to know that they recorded a bunch of great songs again, hopefully they stay on this track
One of the best albums of the year IMO
So which one is blochead? I bet it's the one with the beret.
"Three" should have meant "the", but that's also the exact amount of new songs I've heard them play
I did! I thigh he fit great, though unfortunately I never got to see them live with Matt Mondanile so I can't compare. Have fun hearing three new songs!
Wait, this is the not carpetbombimg technique? I thigh it was called "the carpetbomb with a side of .gifs"
When you skip a thread or two you just make up for it by commenting 8 times on the next thread though
One more thing: this Sunday is Jewish new year's (aka Rosh Hashana), so I just wanted to wish all of you a great year full of amazing music and concerts and hopefully some actual good stuff happening in the world. Happy holiday! (You can choose to extend those wishes to the actual NYE because c'mon, we're not crazy, we still use the Gregorian calendar over here)
On Wednesday I'll be boarding a plane heading east (well, heading to Moscow, but then on another one heading east) where I'll be traveling for at least the next couple months. Starting in China and heading towards Vietnam, with intentions of also visiting Cambodia, Laos and hopefully some other countries along the way. I'm extremely excited and also pretty nervous about the whole affair, so I wanted to share it with you guys (and also #bejealous). Fortunately last week I asked you for good travel albums recommendations, most of which I have uploaded to my trusty 160GB iPod which hopefully doesn't die on me on my first week abroad. I'll probably still be visiting the gum, but maybe commenting a little less, and missing a whole lot, so try not to have too much fun while I'm gone! Love y'all.
It's probably not the Pixies, but that album is v enjoyable
Seems like a pretty good press kit to me
Way to make people who agree with your inital standpoint rethink their stance on the issue
Word is even KFC have no control over it anymore. It has become S E N T I E N T
Oh my god. That is such a great song. Very strong Dollars & Cents vibes, and that keyboard part is quite the earworm. I absolutely love it. What a crazy weekend for great music
Every single time I see that floating stage I think what will happen if one day it malfunctions. Are people standing straight underneath it? Is there some kind of safety net between it and the pit?
