Damn, all these tours sound amazing. When I saw him in Israel last year (one of my most #blessed moments) he really had no tricks, just that big lightning rig he used between the Yeezus and Pablo eras. It was still amazing and I barely remember what happened on staged anyway because I was losing my shit for 2 hours straight
Oops. Accidental downvote. Guess my thumb is jealous you got to see Yeezy live so many times
Ahh, remember the days were everything on this site was compared to Yeezus?
I almost only browse from mobile now. Only way the site's even loading
Keep in mind that it might be over soon
Rivers and Pusha on the same track? What the actual fuck
So does that mean FJM is going to mail one of us the brooch when he finally finds it? (Obviously not dansolo though)
Great read. Great album. Great dude.
The xx!! Holy shit. Maybe that new album is finally finished? Hope so!
This is not to say Spectre isn't fantastic (it is unbelievable), just that we all heard it a milion times by now
Seems like one of the 2 bonus tracks is Spectre, which is a bummer, because I'd imagine this album has enormous b-sides. Hoping for some singles next year!
You don't even need the extra software. Audacity alone is enough for this. This is a really stupid lawsuit, honestly
In Too Deep was robbed
I like it overall. The chorus is meh but the rest of it is fun if you don't look into it too much. The drums are extremely shitty though
Dillinger were always great at writing these dark slow burners. This one does not disappoint either. I imagine on the tracklist it comes right before some crazy ass hardcore bomb and will work as a great build up to that. Can't wait to hear the whole thing!
Sun Structures was a great album so I'm love to hear more. You're definitely right about the MGMT vibe, which is a great thing. Also reminds me of Jacco Gardner. Love this sound!
This sounds like a more honest PC Music to me. I like the general vibe and the lack of pretentiousness
Yeah, they really impressed me over the last year. I really couldn't stand them before but ever since they did Lipslap everything after was either goos or great. Will definitely check that album now
Someone must have watched the latest South Park episode
Father John Misty's Online Persona is now streaming exclusively on Stereogum™
This is totally unrelated to most of your post but re: sleeping to Isis: in 2007 I used to sleep to Dragonforce every day for a couple weeks
I've seen him once right around the time Enough Thunder came out. It was an incredible show, but I really want to see him now, after he made the beasts that are Overgrown and TCIA. Retrograde live would probably kill me
Thanks for clarifying what the show is about, the title got me thinking it was going to be an Akon biopic
And don't forget Bon Iver!! That is a crazy ass release day and I haven't even began checking out this week's releases
Do you contribute on Genius? I feel like you'll have fun there
P.S I've already got the 311 Greatest Hits comp prepared on my iPod so I'm covered on that front
What are your favorite/best albums for travel? I'm talking long ass bus rides or planes, so basically anything that you can chill and zone out to while on the road. Those are going to come in handy for me real soon and I'd love to get some recommendations from the fam!
Great writing Tom. This is a great and essential album and will forever be one of my favorites. Despite being frustrated several times with Weezer ever since I've become a fan, this and Blue were very important parts of my growing up and have soundtracked many great and less than great moments. Thanks for the music =w=
I'll never forget the first time I heard Scentless Apprentice. Changed everything I thought of Nirvana
I like Pinkerton better, but In Utero helped me get into so much raw and heavy music (thanks to Albini of course) so they're both pretty big albums for me
This is great news. I'm loving the cover art too
You know you omitted exactly one word though right?
And almost all of Dissed and Dismissed sounds like Weezer
I saw Luna perform that Galaxie 500 cover live and boy, that is something else. Yuck also have a pretty great Age of Consent cover
How are we on late 90's revival already? Has the world decided to outright skip the Pog revival?

I think Ten Thousand Fists was my favorite. I really don't want to go back and listen to find out though
I know all the words to all of Meteora and at least one Disturbed album, still wouldn't describe any of these as immortal or good (ok, Meteora is fine for the most part).
