who tf would downvote that comment? is it someone who finds pneumonia fun?
Am I the only one here who visited (way too often) the FrankOcean sub on Reddit? People are losing their shit over there
Or the whole love album of the Arrogant Sons of Bitches covering Radiohead
They can and really, they always could. But CFH and Vulgar Display of Power are both fucking great and it will be really hard to dispute
Yeah, this is kind a obvious to the point of "I can't believe I hadn't thought of it first"
The fact that so many books still name the Beatles as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" rock band ever only tells you how far rock music still is from becoming a serious art (etc.)
Not as good as the rap version https://f4.bcbits.com/img/a3899114746_10.jpg
Maybe he's back in newb school
I hope he's building a motherfucking robot over there. Anything less would be unacceptable
You forgot #1.5 build a fucking staircase over a livestream
I upvoted you with great pain. However, there are rumors that there's a delay due to some fuckup on Apple's end. Travis Scott was also supposed to drop an album on Friday, but that didn't happen for some reason, and earlier today he posted on IG that there were "technical difficulties" on Apple's side and because of that the album will get released this Friday instead. Reddit thinks this might be the cause for a delay of Boys Don't Cry too. One can only hope...
Best Oh Sees album? My vote goes for Floating Coffin. Perfect fucking album.
Fuck yeah! Love seeing Thee Oh Sees finally getting some well deserved recognition. This band is consistently amazing. I've been a big fan since 2013 and they keep releasing all these amazing albums every fucking year. Personally, I feel that this album is not as good as last year's Mutilator Defeated at Last, but that's perfectly fine, because it's still very strong, and also because I know that in the next 12 months we'll be getting at least one new Oh Sees album to mosh to! I'm also seeing them live in three weeks - last time I saw them has been one of my favorite ever shows - so I'm fucking PSYCHED for this
They also released the riff-heavy and delicious "Plastic Plant" which is fucking great. This album kills
Nooooo. Accidental fat thumb downvote. Sorry about that. You may choose a punishment of your liking (that is if you don't think being unable to participate in the Spotify 'gum playlist isn't punishing enough). Glad you had fun at LCD, I loved seeing them two nights in a row too. Very jealous for Time to Get Away, one of my favs
I mean,so much before it'll hurt their opinion of him
I feel like he's kinda obligated to drop the album today at this point, no? People are going mas over this. I mean he can always not do anything today either out of spite for NYT leaking the news or just because he had other plans but I feel like he can mess with people only so much
Great film, and the one that immediately came to mind when I watched the series. That scene when the boys walk on train tracks was such a nice touch too
Oh yeah what is y'alls opinion on Suicide Squad? Not the actual quality of the film (it'll be shit) but rather how to treat it. I'm divided between "obviously going to be a trainwreck" and "the kind of trainwreck that should be seen on the biggest possible screen", but I don't want to count in any viewership statistic
I finished Stranger Things earlier today and I'm now very sad that it's over. I already pressured some friends to watch it though so I'd have someone to nerd out with. Probably going to watch every 80's fantasy/adventure movie I can find this coming week. Happy weekend fellas!
btw - they released the first single from the new album. It's called "Limerent Death"
I was very sad to find out about this. TDEP were probably my third favorite band growing up, and though I kind of steered away from their music the last few years, I always liked knowing they were going to pop back once every couple years with a new batshit insane album that'll blow me away. Their last effort wasn't my favorite but Miss Machine and Ire Works are two of my favorite albums of all time and are definitely a worthy legacy. Thanks for the beautiful noise and for one of the most intense and fun shows of my life, you guys.
One Man No City is more summery though, it has Congas!
Can we just vote for the album as a whole?
It's a funny comment but I love musicals so I'm kinda conflicted on which direction I vote
It will never makes sense as long as it has the MARTHA! part
Feel No Ways is my favorite on Views (well this doesn't songs like much but I really love that track) but it's not very summer-y. Great late-night-fall song for sure
My vote's for Come Down because I like hearing my national anthem as a funk-rap sample
Definitely. either that or Frankie Sinatra
Yes please! Hesitation Marks was my favorite NIN in years. So ready for more
How short is recent memory though? Because Batman v. Superman came less than 6 months ago and that was a steaming pile of shit
