My younger sister has one Nirvana tee that she bought some years ago. I guess she at least knew who they were since they're my brother's favorite band, but I'm pretty certain she had no idea that it was a band shirt even. I also think she bought it at like a Forever 21 or something of that ilk
Dino Jr. are one of my favorite bands, so naturally I'm always excited for new stuff. But this album just hasn't clicked with me yet. Granted, I didn't give it enough spins, but so far other than the great one-two opening combo I kind of didn't feel the rest. Especially not Lou's songs, which is odd because I always love the songs he writes in Dino. I really hope some now listens will change that though!
Other than that, the couple songs I've heard from Noname were straight fire. I feel like this album will fill for me what I felt that Coloring Books missed. New Tobacco too! Can't wait to check those out. And Russian Circles, because FUCK those singles were legendary
Several Shades of Why is one of my favorite 10's albums. It's just so pretty and calming and melodic and what not. I hate how much it's slept on. So good
I'd love to see Kanye design a minimalist house, it's just that it's more fun imagining him design the exterior

Radiohead sounded pretty quiet in Primavera too, at least until about 6 songs in. I was standing fairly close and the whole run of new songs they begun with sounded really distant and quite. I thought it was intentionaly done by the fest as to make sure that not every single person at the festival came to that stage, but it sucks to see it's being repeated
So I was thinking of flying out to see them once again in Berlin in September, but I kinda gave up on it. Watching this stream really made me reconsider in seconds. Seems like their shows on this tour just keep getting better
He was not. Can't say about the penis.
I think he barely played anything off the new album, but congrats on being able to sit through over 70 minutes of new Santana. The last of his I remember hearing was that awful classic rock cover album some years ago. I don't remember it too fondly.
Dude I literally just went to see Santana yesterday (went with my dad. don't judge.) I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would though (ok you may judge now)
Solo shows are great. I've been to a lot. Sometimes it can be really awkward, especially if you get to an almost empty basement show early (happend to me at least a dozen times), but when it's good it's great. I got to experience Luna by myself (got a free ticket at the last minute and went for it) and it was amazing. I also saw Yuck by myself because no one really wanted to go and it was one of the most fun shows I've been to. Everyone in the crowd seemed to be solo guys/gals as well so it felt really natural too
I went to a movie alone just once, but everyone (I mean EVERYONE) in the theater was over 70 so they were all talking to eachother during the movie and I kinda regretted not bringing someone with me to talk to
Happened when I saw them in Primavera too. Might have been mostly me freaking out and screaming and grabbing the friend I was with and shouting in his ear "OH MY FUCKING GOD I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY'RE PLAYING THIS" though.
Last album released on Deathwish and now this on Sargent House. Dude sure knows how to pick great labels. Kinda wish the album would sound like the crazy math-rock/emo/punk the label tends to put out, but this sounds fantastic
Tom, you are so not overboard. Dischord is one of the greatest labels of all time. Together with SST and Touch & Go they are the unholy trinity of shit-smashing music. So many amazing releases between those three
So, so underrated. I remember having my mind blown the first time I heard "Cut Self Not".
I just saw that they have an "Anthology 1997-98" I didn't know about, off to check that out. Truly a blessing
